Classical Christian education emphasizes truth, goodness, and beauty. Pro Rege Classical Academy strives to teach those virtues in an atmosphere that is rooted in Christ, robustly classical, and accessible to real people.

At PRCA, your student will sing classic hymns of the Christian faith, interact with the Great Books—particularly the Scriptures—and the Great Ideas of the Western Tradition, memorize poetry, encounter history by reading works from that era, celebrate "Feast Days"—such as Greek Day, Hobbit Day, or Beatrix Potter Day—participate in class recitations, apply themselves to the rigors of mathematics, logic, and Latin, read and reflect on literature through Socratic discussion, and learn to cultivate virtue and honor.

Our conviction is that the benefits of a classical Christian education are not elitist but should be accessible to every family. To that end, while our academics require diligence and hard work from student and parent alike, our program is affordable and within reach of any family that loves truth, goodness, and beauty.

For the 2026-2027 Academic Year, PRCA is offering classes for Kindergarten (age 5) through 8th grade.

Moving forward, it is our intention to grow each year with the student body. Accordingly, we plan to offer classes for 9th grade in the 2027-2028 Academic Year, and will continue to add each year until we offer a full K-12 program in 2030.

PRCA is a cooperative education program that meets on campus three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). On these days, students receive instruction from our faculty from 8am-2pm.

PRCA provides lesson plans for parent-led instruction on Thursdays and Fridays. Teachers are available for questions on home days, and oversee grading and overall planning.

The in-home instruction on Thursday and Friday is parent-led and might consist of 1-3 hours of work for younger students and 3-6 hours of work for older students for each day at home. Of course, this number cannot be precise and depends greatly upon the diligence and ability of the student.

As a small collaborative homeschool academy, we encourage families to joyfully contribute when needs or activities arise, including donations for classroom supplies, chaperoning or carpooling at events, setting up for Feast Days, helping to clean the facilities or maintain grounds, etc.

Yes. Families at PRCA are currently being reimbursed who are specifically participating in the PEP and UA programs. We are not a direct-pay organization, but this has not prohibited reimbursement.

The most important requirement is that prospective families be united with PRCA in the desire to raise faithful disciples of Christ on the foundation of the biblical worldview taught in God’s Word. Therefore, students must have at least one parent who is a follower of Christ and committed to a local church that is Protestant, Trinitarian, and Evangelical.

Though we do not restrict enrollment to Reformed Baptist families, PRCA is a Reformed Baptist institution. Accordingly, the 1689 London Baptist Confession and its related Baptist Catechism shape and guard the culture of our leadership and inform the instruction of the classroom.

We believe that Reformed Baptists share a rich heritage of doctrinal integrity and warm piety, and it is this culture of doctrine and devotion which we seek to develop in our classrooms. 

While PRCA is not accredited, we are members of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). The ACCS has played a critical role in the renewal of classical Christian education, and it supplies members with incredible resources and training opportunities.

No, PRCA is not an umbrella school and does not submit attendance records, test scores, “Intent to Homeschool” forms, or annual evaluations to the county.

No, PRCA does not complete homeschool evaluations. However, parents are provided with lesson plans which may be used in portfolio reviews.

The deadline to register for the Fall 2026 semester is July 20. However, enrollment will be limited in order to maintain desired class sizes.
