Mission & Vision

We exist to equip Christian Children…

The driving vision of PRCA is that Christian children deserve a distinctly Christian education. Because of this, the student body of PRCA is to be comprised of Trinitarian, Evangelical, Protestant families. Paul commanded the Ephesian families to “bring them [children] up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” The Greek word used by Paul here (paideia) represents more than just an ideological education of the mind, but fully-orbed enculturation. The idea here is to “bring them up” in the culture of the Lord. Culture of this sort cannot be properly developed in a sea of diverse worldviews and cultures. Therefore it is the focus of PRCA to equip Christian children and to work with Christian families. 

…with a Classical Christian education…

PRCA will equip Christian Children with a Classical Christian education. The Classical education method is designed to train students utilizing the natural development of the student’s mind. This means that our educational program is built on the classical Trivium: Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric. These three stages correspond to the natural development of a child's mind so that students are learning through methods specific to their age and ability.

Most importantly, the education provided by PRCA is Christian education. We are a school governed by Christians, operated by Christians, for Christians. Pro Rege is a latin phrase meaning, "For the King." We believe that Jesus Christ is King over all things in heaven and on earth. We believe all power and authority belongs to Him, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In light of this reality, we believe all of education should exist in relation to his Lordship for the goal of advancing his Kingdom, visibly, in the earth. We can learn math, because God is a God of order. We can learn language because God is a God that communicates. We can learn science because God has created the world in a way it may be understood. We can learn history because God has organized and directed history for His purposes and glory.

…so that they may develop into men and women…

We equip Christian children with this education to develop them into the men and women that God created them to be and to live according to a Christian worldview. God made them male and female and intends for their lives to be oriented towards that particular design. Though created equally, men and women are distinct in role and nature and should be taught to live according to this beautiful design. 

…grounded in the Christian worldview…

All of this is to be rooted in a Christian worldview. The triune God is the creator and sustainer of all that exists. Because of this fact, there is no way to exist or function consistently in his world without a worldview that is founded on Him. To live in God’s world apart from a Christian worldview is to exist in vanity. To appreciate truth, goodness, or beauty one must stand on a Christian view of the world. Because we want our students to live meaningful and fulfilled lives to the of God, we emphasize the value of a Christian worldview. 

….and may serve faithfully…

The goal of Christian education is not knowledge alone, but knowledge and action united in wisdom. With the equipping of Christian education and the development fostered by a Christian worldview our students may serve Christ, his Church, and their neighbor faithfully. 

…to advance the Kingdom of Christ.

All of this is done toward the end of advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in all the earth. We want to develop Christian children that become men and women who think, act, and live with a “salt and light” mentality, seeing the world as belonging to Christ, and to be passionate about claiming the culture for Him. The Bible tells us that the gates of hell will not prevail against the victorious march of the Church. Our mission culminates in raising men and women to join in that march.
